About Us
Mi Casa Transitional Services Inc was established in 2017 by Lisa and Wm. Michael Payne. The agency was founded as part of the Medicaid based Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing program, Colorado Transitions. https://hcpf.colorado.gov/transition-services-faq.
The guiding principles of Mi Casa Transitional Services is to serve Medicaid members living in institutional settings to return to the community through independent living. We provide intensive case management and wraparound support through community programs that meet the needs of adults.
All service engagement works to create integration and stability within communities, so individuals can gain a sense of purpose as well as the independence and knowledge to lead a meaningful life. Mi Casa Transitional Services Inc is a client centered service with over 25 years of independence skills. In June of 2021 Mi Casa was recognized in the Pueblo Chieftain, and 2020 won the Latino Chamber Small Business Award.
Reintegrate into your community at the highest level of independence.

Transition Coordinator
Jennifer has been with Mi Casa TSI for 5 years doing various job roles starting as a Life Skills Trainer to now a Transition Coordinator and Supervisor. She has a long-term care background of 22 years. She joined Mi Casa because she believes it is an accomplishment getting to see our elderly/disabled members be able to integrate back into the community and lead their own lives again. She feels it is exceptional to be able to be a big part in that process, and watch them grow, succeed and adapt in the year work with them. In her off time, she enjoys being with family, friends, doing crafts, swimming and going to the gym.
Life Skills Manager
Lisa has been with Mi Casa for 4 years as a Life Skills trainer, and now a Life Skills manager. She earned a master’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation and has a background in Sociology/Criminology. Her experience of 25 years’ living with her own disability as well as working with people with disabilities contributes to her qualifications. She enjoys helping individuals achieve their maximum quality of life through her experiences, knowledge, and continuous learning. In her spare time, she loves trying new things, opening her mind to new knowledge, and spending time with her family. She wholeheartedly believes one of our greatest barriers in life is ourselves and once we learn to navigate that barrier, we have the world at our hands.
